Welcome to Herrel Club Lambs! We’re glad you stopped by our site to check out our club lamb business. Our family has been in the sheep industry for over 20 years. What began as a 4-H project has evolved into a family business of breeding and raising club lambs that are competitive from the county show to the national competitions. Our genetics date back to some of the greatest names in the business including Cabiness, Jim Miller, Garvie, McGolden and Hurliman just to name a few.
We’ve made drastic changes to our breeding program. This year we added the reputable genetics of Larry DeSpain’s flock to our program. By utilizing DeSpain 179 (Tech X Tex son) and purchasing several DeSpain ewes we feel we’ve turned a corner again. When combined with our Allred-Elliott bucks, Quest (full twin brother to Eccentric) and Aviator, who packed a powerful punch last year, we feel this adds a whole new element to our program and takes us a huge step closer to where we want to be.
